Professional Wedding-Day Pet Care & Handling
Professional Wedding-Day Pet Care & Handling
Your Pet Is Family. Let Them Be Part of the Day.
Your wedding is filled with the people you love — and for many couples, that includes the pet waiting at home.
Paws & Pasture Care by Sharon provides professional Wedding Pet Attendant services so your pet can be part of your celebration without making a family member, wedding-party member, or planner responsible for their care.
I can become part of the plan before wedding day, working with you and your wedding planner to coordinate your pet's transportation, care, ceremony participation, photographs, breaks, and departure — then be there to help carry that plan through.
You enjoy your wedding. I'll handle the pet-related details.
Professional Wedding-Day Pet Care & Handling
Wedding Pet Attendant service is more than sitting with your dog or holding a leash.
When a pet joins a live event, someone needs to remain responsible for their care, handling, safety, and place within the wedding timeline while everyone else enjoys the celebration.
My role may include:
-
Active pet supervision and handling
-
Wedding-day transportation
-
Walks and potty breaks
-
Feeding, water, and rest periods
-
Dressing your pet in client-provided wedding attire
-
Ceremony and aisle participation
-
Ring presentation coordination
-
Photography assistance
-
Helping guests safely greet and interact with your pet
-
Assisting when guests want photos with the guest of honor
-
Managing excitement when everyone wants to say hello
-
Moving your pet between wedding activities and locations
-
Coordinating with your planner, photographer, venue, and other professionals
-
Returning your pet home or to another agreed-upon location
-
Care before or after their wedding participation when arranged
For pets who cannot safely be left alone or crated, become easily overstimulated, or require closer supervision and handling, the level of care can be planned accordingly.
For Wedding Planners & Event Professionals
Wedding planners can bring Paws & Pasture Care into the process as the dedicated animal-care professional on the wedding team.
I can work directly alongside the planner during the planning stages to coordinate the pet's role within the larger wedding timeline — rather than leaving animal logistics as an afterthought on wedding day.
Planning and professional collaboration may include:
-
Planning meetings
-
Timeline coordination
-
Venue logistics
-
Transportation planning
-
Ceremony and processional timing
-
Photography scheduling
-
Feeding, walks, and rest periods
-
Rehearsal coordination
-
Pet arrival and departure
-
Backup plans
-
Wedding-weekend or destination logistics
On wedding day, I can then carry out the animal-care plan we've already developed while the planner remains focused on the overall event.
Ceremony, Rings & Special Moments
Whether your dog is walking down the aisle, joining you for photographs, greeting guests, or making a special appearance, we'll plan their participation around the wedding timeline, venue, temperament, and comfort.
Ring presentation may also be incorporated when appropriate. We'll establish beforehand who places the rings into the client-provided holder and who removes them when your dog reaches you or the designated person.
Wedding Photos With Your Pet
Your pet doesn't have to attend the entire wedding to be part of your favorite photographs.
I can help coordinate their arrival around the photography schedule, handle the leash, assist with positioning and getting their attention, manage interactions with excited guests, provide water and breaks, and take them to their next location when photographs are complete.
That allows your photographer to concentrate on photography while you and your wedding party stay in the moment.
Transportation & Wedding-Day Logistics
Depending on your custom service, transportation may be coordinated between your:
-
Home
-
Hotel or accommodations
-
Getting-ready location
-
Ceremony venue
-
Reception venue
-
Photography location
-
Another approved care location
We'll establish where your pet needs to be, when they need to arrive, and where they'll go afterward.
When Wedding-Day Plans Change
Weddings are live events. Timelines move, photographs get added, guests want more time with the dog, and sometimes couples decide their pet simply has to stay for one more part of the celebration.
I'll help determine how those changes can be accommodated safely while considering your pet's comfort, venue requirements, and the rest of the wedding timeline.
Additional attendant time, significant wedding-day changes, additional meetings, or professional coordination beyond the agreed service may be billed separately at the applicable rate.
Rehearsals, Wedding Weekends & Destination Weddings
Additional care and coordination may also be available for rehearsals, wedding weekends, regional weddings, and destination events.
Services can be customized to include transportation, rehearsal participation, care at pet-friendly accommodations, additional walks or visits, multi-day care, and other pet-related logistics.
Applicable travel time, mileage, parking, tolls, accommodations, or other necessary travel expenses are incorporated into the custom proposal.
Their Comfort Comes First
Some dogs walk into a wedding like they own the venue. Others may find crowds, music, unfamiliar surroundings, weather, children, or constant attention overwhelming.
We'll discuss your pet's temperament, handling needs, training, and expected participation before the wedding.
If conditions become stressful or unsafe, their participation may be adjusted. The goal is to create a wonderful memory without sacrificing your pet's comfort or safety to create it.
Custom Wedding Pet Attendant Packages
Every wedding and every pet is different.
Your custom proposal may take into consideration the wedding location, number of pets, service hours, level of supervision, planning and meetings, transportation, ceremony participation, photography, rehearsal involvement, pre- or post-event care, travel, and multi-day or destination coverage.
