Whole-Farm Care

Barn & Farm Sitting is designed for properties with multiple animals, multiple daily responsibilities, or a more involved care routine than a standard pet or equine visit.

Depending on your farm and the services arranged, care may include:

• Feeding and fresh water

• Hay and forage routines

• Horse turnout and bring-in

• Stall checks

• Basic stall or animal-area cleanup associated with care

• Paddock and pasture checks

• Gate and fence visual checks

• Blanketing and seasonal horse routines

• Owner-directed supplements

• Basic medication support when appropriate and arranged in advance

• Care for goats, sheep, and other farm animals

Built Around the Way Your Farm Actually Runs

No two farms operate exactly alike.

One property may have two horses and a few chickens. Another may include horses, goats, sheep, poultry, barn cats, farm dogs, and several different feeding and turnout routines.

That's why Barn & Farm Sitting isn't treated as a one-size-fits-all service.

We'll go through the property and establish what happens in the morning, during the day when applicable, and in the evening so I understand the normal rhythm of your farm before you leave.

Multiple Animals, One Coordinated Plan

One of the biggest advantages of farm sitting is having one coordinated plan for the property.

Rather than arranging separate care for the horses, chickens, goats, dogs, and cats, we can look at the farm as a whole and determine what needs to happen during each scheduled visit.

That can make leaving a multi-animal property considerably easier to manage.

Before You Leave

For new farm-sitting clients, we'll arrange an on-site meeting before the first service.

We'll review things such as:

• Feeding routines

• Animal locations and groups

• Turnout and bring-in procedures

• Gates and access points

• Water sources

• Feed, hay, supplements, and supplies

• Equipment locations

• Individual animal considerations

• Veterinary and emergency contacts

• Backup contacts

• Property access

• What is normal — and what would be unusual — for your animals

Clear written instructions should be available for the care being requested.

Safety & Animal Handling

Please disclose known behavioral concerns, difficult-to-handle animals, escape tendencies, aggression, medical concerns, unusual herd dynamics, or other conditions that could affect safe care.

If an animal or situation cannot be handled safely, I may modify or discontinue that portion of care and contact the owner, designated emergency contact, veterinarian, or other appropriate person.

Routine Care — Not Farm Management

Barn & Farm Sitting is intended to maintain the established animal-care routine while you're away.

It does not replace a veterinarian, farrier, trainer, farm manager, property maintenance contractor, or other specialized professional.

If your farm requires responsibilities outside routine animal care, tell me about them when requesting your quote so we can determine what can reasonably be included.

Custom Care for Your Property

Barn & Farm Sitting is custom quoted based on the actual scope of your farm.

Factors may include:

• Number of daily visits
