Backyard Flocks & Hobby Farms
You don't need a large farm to need reliable poultry care.
Backyard chickens, ducks, and small hobby flocks still require consistent feeding, water, secure housing, and daily attention when their owners are away.
If poultry are the only animals requiring care, visits can be arranged specifically around your flock without requiring a larger farm-sitting service.
Mixed Flocks
Different birds don't necessarily follow the same routine.
Chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, and other farm birds may have different feed, water, housing, turnout, and nighttime requirements.
We'll review how your flock is normally managed so care can follow the system your birds already know.
Security Matters
Predator protection and enclosure security are an important part of poultry care.
I'll follow your established procedures for coops, gates, runs, doors, and latches during scheduled visits.
Please disclose known predator concerns, escape-prone birds, aggressive birds, difficult flock behavior, or enclosure issues that could affect safe care.
Seasonal Considerations
Poultry routines can change with the seasons.
Hot weather may require additional attention to water, while colder conditions can affect water sources and normal coop routines.
I'll follow the seasonal care procedures you've established for your flock and discuss any special instructions before service begins.
Part of a Larger Farm?
If your property also includes horses, goats, sheep, pigs, farm dogs, barn cats, or other animals, tell me about everyone when requesting your quote.
When several types of animals require coordinated care, Barn & Farm Sitting may be the better option for the property as a whole.

Number and length of visits
